A+D Clique will represent a comprehensive design voice with an overarching ambition to enhance how information is created, converged, and consumed across the industry.
Each of the founding members brings a unique facet and audience to the table: Archinect will continue to drive professional connectivity with newly improved designer profiles, resumes, and portfolios; Designer Pages will continue to refine and re-invent product and material search, both online and onsite; OpenBuildings will continue its quest to exhaustively catalogue all buildings and projects in the world; and Otto will continue its delivery of fresh industry updates with contemporary charm and sass.
So what’s changed? The alliance will more thoroughly address industry needs, collaborating and cross pollinating in every instance possible. For example, Designer Pages will soon implement a site-wide update to identify where a given product is installed (powered by OpenBuildings) and which design professionals have specified this product (powered by Archinect). OpenBuildings’ project profiles will soon include product and manufacturer information (powered by Designer Pages). Otto and Archinect plan to merge their event portals, providing more opportunities for professionals to meet offline.
